June 11/07 - The ROBERTO LÓPEZ PROJECT will be on stage for the opening concert of the 19th FrancoFolies de Montréal. This « trip de gang » that unites diferent artists and musical styles, will be presented on Thursday July 26 at 9PM on the l’Aire Ford Focus stage. The show will be hosted by Daniel Boucher with Lynda Thalie, H’Sao, Taima, Marco Calliari and the Roberto López Project together on stage! The concert will be filmed for the TV channels ILLICO and ARTV.

March 20/07 - The album QUE PASA has been selected as a finalist in the Indie Acoustic Project’s “Best CDs of 2006” awards in the Latin category. The winners in each category will be selected and announced by April 30. The 45 CDs selected as finalists constitute the very best acoustic music released in the past year.

February 21/07 - Roberto López Project will be presenting a show at the 11th Festivalíssimo on March 9, at noon on the MIDIS FESTIVALISSIMO at Place Alexis-Nihon (Montreal).

February 12/07 - Roberto López Project is invited to the TV show Belle et Bum. On this ocassion Roberto and Inés will be performing with the show's orchestra live from the Théàtre Plaza in Montréal. The show airs on Télé-Québec Saturday February 17 at 9PM. It airs again on Friday February 23 at 10PM.

December 14/06 - The year is coming to an end and we are happy to share some great news: the album QUE PASA? was included in the TOP 25 best world music albums by Rhythms International: MIX96 (Montreal). The album also reached #1 position for 4 weeks at CIUT's (Toronto) International charts, and stayed on the TOP 10 for several weeks. We want to thank everyone for their support and we want to wish everybody happy holidays. See you next year!

November 22/06 - We are launching the video clip for QUE PASA? (produced by Kartel Films with the finanacial support of MusiMax through MaxFACT).

October 14/06 - We will begin shooting the video-clip for the song "Que pasa?" in a couple of weeks. And we are also working on a video for the song "Resistencia". The first one will be released at the end of November, and the second one in March 2007.

August 2/06 - the song RESISTENCIA has reached #3 on the hit list at LAUD 90.4 FM in Bogota, Colombia!!

May 2 /06 - The album is available on stores around the province and in selected stores in Canada. It was also voted on #10 of the top 10 albums of the month by Ralph Boncy on Galaxie Plus!

April 3 /06 - We are proud to announce that the album "Qué Pasa?" is going to be released in Colombia on Tuesday, April 11. The album is going to be available on Discos Tower, Discos Tango, La Rumbita, Mercado Mundial del Disco, La Música, and others.

March 24 /06 - The album "Qué Pasa?" will be playing in DIMENSION LATINA (CIBL 101.5 FM Montreal) starting this Saturday, March 25th. The show runs every Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.

March 15 /06 - Curura Musique has signed a distribution agreement for Canada with DISTRIBUTION BROS (a division of Les Productions Bros). The album "Qué Pasa?" will be available in all record stores in Canada. DISTRIBUTION BROS will also manage the press relations for the artist in Canada.

December 1 /05 - Curura Musique has signed a digital distribution agreement that will make the album "Qué Pasa?" available on more than 50 legitimate music services like Apple iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, MSN Music, MP3tunes, AOL's MusicNet, Yahoo MusicMatch, and more. We will let you know as soon as the album becomes available on these sevices.

November 17 /05 - The song "Ayer Soñé" from the Roberto López Project album "Qué Pasa?" (available on Curura Musique Records) is the opening theme for the film Souvenir Kids (Souvenirs d'Acapulco) that is playing at the film festival: 8es RIDM in Montreal. Besides composing and producing all the original music of the film, Roberto wrote the horn section melodies for the closing theme for the film which was written by Daniel Russo Garrido.

November 8 /05 - The album "Qué Pasa?" will be on sale on internet only starting November 11, 2005.

November 1 /05 - The cover art is ready and the album was sent to get manufactured. The cover art design and photos were done by Juan Madrigal. The album back cover photo and the Roberto López photo inside the booklet were both taken by Jocelyn Michel.

October 20 /05 - The mastering was done in Toronto by Peter J. Moore at the 'E' Room.

October 14 /05 - The mix of the album is complete. There will be 12 tunes. The mix was done by Roberto López and Claus Frostell at Curura Musique studio in Montreal.

September 30/05 - The recording sessions for the album took place between August 2 and 15. Most of the material was recorded on location at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall in Montreal by Roberto López and Claus Frostell. Additional recording was done at Curura Musique studio between September 8 and 11.

May 27/05 - We'll be doing some live (on-site recording) sessions at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall in Montreal. A big thank you to the management of the hall and to the Music Department at Concordia University for making this possible. The acoustic space in the hall is really incredible! You'll hear it in the album.

May 25/05 - Recording engineer Claus Frostell is lending his talents for the recording sessions. Claus has worked with artists such as Moist, David Usher, Jean Leloup, Gaia, The Planet Smashers, The Gruesomes and The Snitches just to name a few.

April 5/05 - Curura Musique is proud to announce that the Roberto López Project has been approved for the Independent Record Loan by FACTOR. The recording will be done this summer. More updates on the recording and the official launch date will follow.
